On May 7th, the Illinois Project 3 team presented drafts of the Medicare information materials they have been developing to obtain feedback from older adults in the community. The six older adults who attended the meeting were the Community Advisory Panel, organized by an interdisciplinary research program, Collaborations in Health, Aging, Research, & Technology (CHART) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Hye Soo Lee and Olivia Rojas briefly explained the purpose of the materials and the development process, which was followed by an engaged discussion among the panels. The panel members expressed enthusiasm for the materials, provided input about the content and format, and suggested ways to improve them. Panel members were encouraged to take the materials home and contact the researchers with any additional feedback.
