The American Psychological Association (APA) held its 2025 convention in Denver from August 7th to 9th. CREATE PIs hosted a skill-building workshop titled “The Conduct of Technology-Behavioral Interventions with Older Adult Populations” on the 8th. This workshop covered resources on designing technology-based behavioral interventions for older adults and the role of theory in matching interventions to individual capabilities. Using concrete examples from randomized clinical trials, the CREATE team emphasized the importance of study design and the selection of appropriate control groups. Dr. Boot, as the President of Division 20 (Adult Development and Aging), gave his presidential remarks and led the division business meeting/awards ceremony later in the day.
