CREATE and German researchers are posing for a photo

On June 13th, CREATE PIs held a workshop titled “CREATE Meets Digital Aging Researchers from German-Speaking Countries” in Germany. This event was arranged by CREATE’s international research partner, Dr. Hans-Werner Wahl, from Heidelberg University.  After the initial greeting and introduction, Dr. Czaja provided an overview of CREATE and shared the research from Project 1 (Virtual Reality). Dr. Boot provided updates on Project 2 (SPARC: Supporting Personal Activities and Reinforcing Cognition) and Dr. Charness shared progress on Project 3 (Decision Making Support). Dr. Rogers followed with an overview of CREATE dissemination and engagement activities. Each session included 15 minutes of discussion.

The workshop provided a wonderful opportunity to share research findings, methods, tools, and other practical tips with international researchers. The photo above shows the CREATE PIs and the Heidelberg team (from left, David Hansen, Anna Schlomann, Walter Boot, Neil Charness, Sara Czaja, Wendy Rogers, Hannah Blaim, Hans-Werner Wahl, & Nicole Memmer) on the campus of Heidelberg University.
