This year’s annual meeting for the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) took place in Boston, MA, from November 12th to 15th. CREATE researchers contributed to the event through posters, symposia, and other sessions. November 14th was focused on “AgeTech: Life Course Innovations & Implications”. The CREATE PIs were part of the steering committee for this day-long event, which included research and community presentations; exhibits and demonstrations by industry partners; and a networking reception. The event was well-attended, as seen in the top-right photo of the image above. There was a separate CREATE Symposium on Nov 15th that focused on the theme “Harnessing the Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Supporting Older Adults”. CREATE PIs presented the data from ongoing studies and preliminary findings to the audience.
Additionally, Dr. Pallabi Bhowmick from the Illinois site presented findings from the CREATE Project 1 Virtual Reality (VR) study. The Weill Cornell interns of the CREATE Dissemination Core attended the GSA meeting for the first time and presented a poster on artificial intelligence responses.
