We are excited to announce that we have a new addition to our Human Factors & Aging Series. Titled Designing Safe Housing Environments for Older Adults, this book focuses on the primary built environment that older adults spend most time in, namely, their housing spaces. This book was authored by Dr. Juliana Tasca Tissot at Universidade Federal de Pelotas. She shares her expertise in architecture and urban planning in the book, presenting design strategies based on human factors and aging in place principles. The book contains both theoretical and practical approaches, starting with an overview of the housing environment for aging adults and providing practical measures and design solutions for various home spaces (e.g., bathroom, kitchen, closet, home office).
Please visit the publisher website to learn more about the book. Currently, a discount is offered on the e-book copies.
