CREATE PIs Dr. Sara Czaja and Dr. Walter Boot were recognized for their scholarly accomplishments at the 2026 Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association (APA) from the Division 20 Adult Development and Aging.  

Dr. Czaja received the Baltes Distinguished Research Achievement Award, which honors researchers with distinguished careers who have made outstanding contributions to the psychological science of aging.  

Dr. Boot received the M. Powell Lawton Distinguished Contribution Award for Applied Gerontology, awarded to those who have contributed to improving the quality of life of older adults.
