CREATE Principal Investigators hosted a skill building workshop titled “Integrating Artificial Intelligence for Older Adults’ Medicare Decisions” at the 2026 Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association (APA). This event took place on August 8th as a part of Division 20 Adult Development and Aging programming.
The workshop highlighted recent findings from CREATE focused on using technology to support older adults’ health management. PIs discussed four person-centered studies that varied in methods: an interview study, a digital assistant evaluation study, and two observational studies.
The learning objective was to understand how artificial intelligence applications, integrated with other resources, can be harnessed and developed to support older adults’ decision making. The CREATE Medicare Information Materials (link) were also presented as a non-digital tool that could support Medicare decisions.
