CREATE is pleased to announce the release of a set of Medicare information materials designed to support older adults and those who assist them in navigating Medicare choices. These materials present clear and reliable information about Medicare system and related decision-making processes.
Recognizing the variation in Medicare-related policies, programs, and resources across states, we developed two versions of the materials that are specific to Illinois and New York. Additionally, we provide a generic version that is customable for state-specific resource information.
These materials have been developed through systematic and research-informed efforts that included multiple interviews with subject matter experts on Medicare and services for older adults. Insights from these experts informed both the content and the presentation format of the information. The images above are from the Community Advisory Panel event where the research team obtained additional feedback.
Through this work, CREATE aims to contribute practical, evidence-informed resources that support informed decision-making. These materials can be used by older adults, their family members, SHIP counselors, or anyone assisting with Medicare decisions. Please visit our website’s resource section for more information or to download the files.
