EMBRACE (Establishing Mechanisms of Benefit to Reinforce the Alzheimer’s Care Experience) is a collaborative research center focused on advancing dementia care science by identifying and testing the mechanisms that make behavioral interventions effective for people living with dementia and their care partners. The center supports innovative research, education, and training designed to accelerate the translation of evidence-based dementia care interventions into real-world settings.
EMBRACE will host its fall webinar, “Technology and Intervention Research in Dementia Care: Identifying and Understanding Measures and Mechanisms of Impact,” featuring Dr. Sara J. Czaja, on November 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm CT / 3:00 pm ET.
The webinar will explore the role of technology in behavioral intervention research and its growing importance in supporting individuals living with dementia and their care partners. Dr. Czaja will discuss both the opportunities and challenges associated with using technology in intervention research. The presentation will cover approaches for measuring intervention effectiveness and evaluating outcomes. Attendees will learn about methods for identifying the mechanisms that drive successful intervention results.
As technology-based interventions continue to expand across aging and dementia care research, understanding how to effectively evaluate their impact remains a critical challenge. This presentation will provide attendees with valuable insights into current methods for measuring intervention effectiveness and uncovering the pathways through which technology can improve care and quality of life.
Researchers, clinicians, students, and community members interested in dementia care, aging, and technology are encouraged to attend.
